Who Am I?

The Face Behind the Camera

Hi there! I'm Heather.

I thought long and hard about what I was going to write for certain sections of this website as I was building it, and I decided, "fk it! I'm going to write this as 100% me."

Go ahead...compare some other photographer's websites...ther verbiage is basically all the same. "Let me help you write your love story. Cherish the memories. We love, love."

You won't get any of the cookie cutter B.S. here. I hope that when you meet me, I accurately portrayed myself on the interwebs.

Simply put...I'm the black sheep of the family.

I've always been the misfit, the wild child, and the one to go against the grain in life.

Don’t get me wrong, I do love, love. I do want to help you write your love story and cherish the memories, but damn does it have to be so formal?! Let’s have some fun!

I picked up my first camera in junior high (I'm old - you don’t want the year, trust me.) I found a love for photography as I developed film in a darkroom for six years. Out of high school, my friend and I would take the most emo kid pictures with our shitty digital cameras that we packed around everywhere. XD hardXcore (if you know you know).

It wasn’t until 2016 when I finally invested in my first DSLR. A whole new world of digital photography opened up for me.

I got to meet other people like me, and take pictures while we hung out. It was a win win. And it still is.

I'm sarcastic, I’m stubborn, I'm determined, I'm creative, I curse like a sailor, and I have a slight addiction to reality TV.

It’ll be a rare day if you don’t see my husband in tow with me to a photoshoot. He’s my emotional support animal...in human form. But we can just call him the assistant I don’t pay. Love should be enough right?

Now you know a little about me, I hope to get to know more about you!
